Drawl privacy policy
Effective 3 October 2026
What Drawl is
Drawl is a macOS app that turns meetings into a live visual canvas.
Audio
Drawl captures and transcribes audio on your Mac. Audio never leaves your Mac and is never saved.
Transcript text
To draw the canvas, Drawl sends the transcript text from your Mac through Drawl's server (hosted on Cloudflare) to AI providers: TypeSafe, Baseten (running DeepSeek) and Google Gemini. Drawl's server does not store transcripts or AI responses. Each provider processes the text under its own terms and privacy policy.
What Drawl's server stores
Your Google account email and an account ID (from sign-in), your subscription status (from Dodo Payments), and your monthly AI usage cost. Server logs record only technical details (account ID, which AI service, status, timing, token counts and cost), never transcript text or responses.
For the free plan, Drawl's server also keeps a count of your free canvas calls and, for each Mac they were used on, a device ID: a one-way hash of the Mac's hardware ID, never the ID itself. The device ID is deleted after two months.
Sign-in
You sign in with Google through Firebase Authentication (Google). Your sign-in token is stored encrypted on your Mac.
Saved sessions
Meeting canvases and transcripts you save are stored on your Mac.
Payments
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. Drawl never sees your card details.
Deleting your data
Email buildwithankur@gmail.com and we'll delete your account data from Drawl's server. Cancelling your subscription is done in the billing portal.
